MALAGUETTO — Forest Above the Canyon

The name Malaguetto comes from the Ngäbe-Buglé indigenous language and means “tall, lush tree,” paying homage to the local indigenous cultural heritage and the dense vegetation that surrounds this land. Situated in a high-altitude forested area above the canyon, the plot benefits from cool temperatures, ample shade, and slow cherry ripening. These conditions produce coffees that are elegant, with outstanding sweetness and complex, layered flavor.

This washed Bourbon opens with fresh white floral notes accompanied by delicate berry aromatics. The sweetness remains at the consistently high level typical of Finca Los Cenizos, with prominent stone-fruit character expressing itself as juicy apricot and rock-sugar tangerine. The finish is clean, lingering, and honey-like.
