In this year’s Ethiopian selections, we overall lean more toward the Guji region. However, this lot from the Sidama region—Masincho—consistently stands out and impresses in every round of blind cupping!

The overall impression is very sweet, with a tangible stone-fruit sweetness. Sweet apricot and sweet orange intertwine, delivering rich fruit aromas and flavors that evoke fruit candy and apricot pulp.

Masincho is a large tree growing in the center of the Yaye washing station. Testi has named this coffee after Masincho, endowing the lot with the deep-rooted significance of representing the Yaye station itself.
