About Beans:

Arashi Farm is the neighbor of Alaska Del Sur Farm. The producers of the two farms, Abel and Curt, are not only good neighbors but also good friends. They frequently exchange ideas on cultivation and processing, sharing knowledge and supporting each other’s progress.

In the 2021 Ecuador Cup of Excellence competition, Arashi Farm and Alaska Del Sur, using the most traditional Typica Mejoradoa variety, won first and third place respectively. This highlights the outstanding terroir of both farms in the Saraguro region, the natural compatibility of Typica Mejorado with this terroir, and the producers’ continuous dedication to cultivation and processing.

This 26/27 new harvest washed Typica Mejorado from Arashi Farm fully lives up to our high expectations for the farm. It offers delicate white floral notes, fresh bergamot, vivid cranberry in the high-temperature range, and the sweetness of apricot and nectar in the mid-to-low temperature range. It stands as one of the finest representatives of washed Typica Mejorado from Ecuador’s Loja region.
