About Beans:
El Centro is located in Costa Rica’s Central Valley, where the volcanic soil is rich in minerals and offers excellent drainage. This natural-processed SL28 showcases the variety’s characteristic abundant berry profile — raspberry, red plum, and hawthorn — while retaining the classic balanced sweetness that Costa Rican coffees are known for. The result is a cup that is both gentle and bright, sweet yet vibrant.

In past years, due to limited storage conditions in the region and late shipments, many excellent Costa Rican coffees would lose vibrancy and age prematurely — which was truly a pity. This year, thanks to our continued communication with the farm, we finally received this lot at the ideal time in early June. Harvested between January and February, processed for one month, and rested for one to two months before being air-shipped, these fresh green beans arrive at their peak. Like seasonal fruit, this is the best moment to bring you the freshest Costa Rican SL28 of the season.
