About Beans:
One of the most anticipated washed Geshas of the year is Lot 8413 from Los Lajones Estate. It opens with an intense, essential-oil-like jasmine aroma and a rich, creamy gardenia fragrance. The floral intensity is so pronounced that it almost overshadows the coffee’s abundant, juicy fruit character—fresh bergamot, crisp and delicately sweet white peach just picked in summer, and a dense, silky mouthfeel in the cooler stages reminiscent of orange juice.

The Bambu plot at Los Lajones sits on the southeastern slopes of Volcán Barú, ranging from 1,900 m up to 2,400 m. From January to April, during the dry season, persistent dry trade winds from the Pacific continuously sweep the area, blocking moisture from the Caribbean and keeping the harvest and processing season exceptionally dry. This allows the Bambu Geisha to complete the entire process—from picking and fermentation to drying and resting of the green beans—entirely within the estate, delivering a pure and complete expression of the farm’s terroir.

Amid the wave of dark-room drying that has swept through Panama, Los Lajones’ pure terroir expression stands out as rare and distinctive—the perfect combination of the Bambu plot’s unique geographical advantages and Graciano’s deep expertise in coffee processing.
